The Vienna Marathon takes place on the race track where Marathon history was written: Eliud Kipchoge, a Kenyan runner, as first person ever, ran a marathon in less than two hours.
Each year in April, the event takes place and participants run the classic distance of 42 km on one of the most scenic marathon tracks you could imagine, getting a glimpse of Vienna's most famous sights like the beautiful Vienna Opera House and Schönbrunn Palace.
